What we do with your Personal Data.
We use your Personal Data so we can keep you in touch with new Events in the N.S.T.K (EWSKA) Calendar and for this reason we need your email address to notify you. We may sometimes need to post information when your Karate Licence is due for renewal. We need a telephone number so we can communicate in an emergency if a member is injured. Your Data is only used within the (N.S.T.K E.W.S.K.A.) Association e.g. Name, address, date of birth and your grading details.
Keeping your Personal Data stored.
We will keep your Personal Data for a minimum of 3 years for reasons of personal claim injuries. We will keep it longer unless the member asks for the removal. We have found that members often need information from us about grades taken even when they are no longer in our Association. i.e. when moving to another Martial Arts Association and have lost their own Certificates or Martial arts Licence.
Sharing your Personal Data.
We do not share, sell or pass on your personal information to other parties unless you request us to do so and give us your written consent.
How did we collect your Data?
We collect Data from the Membership Form on joining.
Also from Licence Application Form when you apply for your Karate Licence.
From Grading Application Forms when taking a grading.
Data is only collected from a parent/guardian for any Member under the age of 16 years old.
You have the right to:
Be informed how we use your Data. (as stated previously)
Amend your details at any time by emailing, telephoning or by post.
You may delete your information after the minimum 3 years needed for Insurance purposes.
You may request the full details that we have for you personally at any time. No charge will be made for this service.
You have the right to restrict Personal data we have of you but we are legally entitled to hold Data needed for legal use.
Any of the Rights above that you exercise will need to be requested to the Data Protection Officer of (N.S.T.K)E.W.S.K.A.with a copy of Driving Licence or Utility Bill by post.
We will respond within 30 days of receiving request.
You have a right to appeal if not satisfied to Information Commissioner's Office.
