AshBourne 2022
After a 2 year absence the annual NSTK summer course finally returned on the 9th July 2022 at the Ashbourne leisure centre
There was lots of hard work and enthusiasm from both students and Instructors alike, Instructors teaching a wide variety of techniques
including traditional Karate, Self defence Sparring and Kata, also demonstrations of Kubodo and Stick fighting
Those attempting grades, especially students taking Dan grades (1st Dan - 4th Dan) performed extremely well
The Kata competition as usual was well attended with some fine performances, and well done to all that gave it ago despite not being confident about performing in front of an audience.
Finally a big thank you to all the instructors, secretary and camera person who all worked so hard and most of all to the students, Parents/Guardians without whom this would not be possible
Ivan Riley (chief instructor)
